OHS Morning Devotion, Seek First the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.

On 11th November, Olivet high school students and teachers gathered at Olivet chapel to have the morning devotion. The acting chaplain Matthews delivered the message from the book of Matthew 6:24-34, and 20 people attended the service.

Jesus spoke much about money and possession because we can not save two masters at the same time, we must hate one. Jesus Christ encouraged us to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteous then all shall be added into us, so we need to have faith by trusting in him. We don't need to worry about clothes and the food because God is there for us.

We must totally put our dependence on God as Christians. We value our lives so much then for the word of God, we worry so much about money and all things that our hearts desire. Because of this, we don't bear the fruit even if we hear the word of God. We don't bear the fruit because we worry so much about our life, but we need to trust in God and obey his word then we can receive God's provisions.

We should give our full focus upon saving the Lord, and our attention to the work of God because God is faithful and we must realize that he is a God who provides.
