Kitwe Gracia Church Friday Service: 'The Just Shall Live By Faith'

Kitwe Gracia Church Members and Intern Peter Joined Friday service. 15 people attended the Service including Sister Norah and Chiana. Pastor Peter shared the Word of God from Romans 1:16-17. The message was "The Just Shall Live By Faith".

He described the two righteousness which came by law and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He said that the first one is by keeping the law of Moses, this is the type of righteousness that comes by our works. It is impossible to keep all the law because it is not only 10 laws but 612 law in the Bible. When you write them separately it is a thick book because even if you break one law it means you have broken all the laws and when we break the law we will face judgment and punishment. Apostle Paul makes it clear that no one is righteous before for all are sinners.

Second righteousness came by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is righteous outside of our works. This means that His righteousness is sufficient to us to stand before God during His judgment. We can get this righteousness by faith in Christ Jesus alone and trusting what God has done through Jesus Christ.

Some people believe that it is not faith alone but also by works of keeping Church sacraments and works until we become righteous to stand before. How did the righteous of Jesus Christ effective to our lives? God justifies us when He proclaimed Jesus Christ to be a savior of our sins. Justification is the term used in court to declare the condemned person free from his sin.

We are righteous and sinner at the same time simultaneously flesh part and Spiritual part of us. God has restored our lives through Jesus Christ by imputed righteousness into our bodies. To impute means to transfer his righteousness into our body to become righteous. The doctrine of original sin, Adam when he sinned we sinned through one Man because his sins were imputed into our body and we all became sinners.

He concluded that our sins were imputed into Christ Jesus and his righteousness was transferred into our body to become righteous before Him through his death on the cross. Our sins were imputed into his body and we are grateful for what Christ has done. He became a sinner and cursed because of our sins and God exalted him above all things.
